Daniel Ricciardo, winner of the Canadian Grand Prix isn't much of a champagne lover. However, he doesn't mind getting soaked in it every now and then.

What happens when a formula one car slides sideways right in front of you while you're doing 250kph? Yes, it was a close miss for Sebastian Vettel when Felipe Massa flew in front of him after involving in a crash with Perez. (I am with the FIA on penalising Perez). Both drivers are safe and fine. 


Jenson Button's car is torn apart and worked on by his engineers. 


Guess the track walk paid off for Jev! He finally finished in the points in Canada!

Countdown to 2014: end season shuffle shenaniganz

There are a lot of reasons we can rewind and reminisce 2013 season. The last season on the V8 engines didn't go as per planned for most of us because there was one man driving with perfection every race - Sebastian Vettel- he was unbeaten, untouchable and dominant. So dominant to such an extent that Red Bull racing didn't need a Mark Webber to win the Constructors at all!  In other words, this German alone could have been a team and finish 2nd in the constructors and won the driver's all alone. But just behind him, half a lap behind were drivers like Alonso, who himself admitted that   "It's always good to know that you are recognised by your peers," Alonso responded, "but I think 2012 was the best in my career.  This season, there were times when I did not do well enough, such as when I could have had a little more performance, or when I made a mistake like in Malaysia." Jerez Testing

Author's note : Its a bit too late to post an article on Jerez tests, when the second test at Barcelona has already begun, but I think that's okay. And just to hint you: Jerez is pronounced 'Hur-ez', just a note cause I kept pronouncing it the wrong way (until I saw Ted Kravitz, from Sky F1 do the correct pronunciation) and happened to get embarrassed when I had to use that word in front of a crowd.
